COMMERCIAL AQUAPONICS
The role of providing food for communities, businesses and individual consumers is an important part of our society. Not only does food provide the vital nutrients that every living being needs, it is also an integral part of the social framework, bringing people together, defining our daily schedule, and supporting the local economy. This understanding of food drives the growing need and demand to localize and regain control of the food chain, in addition to highlighting the environmental responsibility that growers must consider as we strive to conserve and maintain the limited and precious natural resources for generations to come.
Aquaponics is an increasing part of the local movement. It can help meet the consumer demand and also respond to the many environmental, political and social concerns that traditional agriculture struggles to address. We believe it is an important part of the solution to many of today’s challenges. Through aquaponics we can feed our communities, conserve our natural resources, diversify our food system, boost local economies and make a tremendous social impact.
